PS Vita - A simultaneous world wide launch

It would have been a better option for the handheld.

As of now; sales in Japan are going slow. This in turn will affect how north American audiences will view the status of the Vita.

This will also change the view of how Japanese developers view the Vita as a viable platform for future investments.
Also, the price of the unit has already been lowered in Japan. Undoubtedly, this may force north american consumers to "wait" for their price drop. (To no avail; such a price drop probably won't happen for another 5-8 months after it's release.)

IF a world wide release of the Vita had occurred; it would have enjoyed stronger sales overall. The sales numbers would have been a lot better to look at.

Megaupload is gone.

Just a few hours earlier; the file sharing website was taken down.

Does this signal the beginning of the end for the internet?

PS Vita - Augmented Reality

I'm sure most of you have seen the PS Vita, and it's augmented reality capabilities.

Still; how these capabilities will be used in commercial games remains a mystery. It seems that tech demos have taken priority with this feature on the PS Vita, but that's not to say that we may see some great titles that take advantage of AR.

AR tech demos on PS Vita:

Tecmo? Make a Fatal frame for this NOW.

Fox News/MSNBC on Xbox Live

Having two biased news agencies on Xbox is a necessity for any gamer.

I call flagrant garbage.

Seriously, why is it even there? Would someone kindly remove these worthless slops?

Also; remove their gobbledygook from the PSN lobby.

Monster Hunter 4 Trailer (3DS)

Run.

Run.

Run.

Climb.

Fight.

What's the point of running if you'll have to turn, and fight the thing eventually? It'll be of interest to see where Capcom goes with this new formula.

Queen's Gate: Spiral Chaos (Import Guide/Faq) 1.1

The PSP has been ousted by it's newest iteration; the PS Vita.

This however does not mean there isn't any fun to be had with the PSP. I'd imagine that the PSP will continue to receive third-party support from developers. (Especially in Japan)

With that said, I'd like to introduce you to a game that was released only in Japan for the PSP.

Making a basic faq for those who have imported the game.

What is this game about? Watch the trailer:

Hooray for fanservice!

Ah, but this game is much more than just that. Behind it all; there's quite a bit of gaming.

The Basics~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Note: The game operated with standard Japanese PSP controls. O button to proceed. X button to go back.

Inter Mission Screen

1) Party: View current party members. Push left, or right on the d-pad to view various stats.

2) Shop: Buy items, jewels, and character armor upgrades. Items range from stat buffs to healing items. There are five armor pieces, and all can be upgraded to level twenty. They are: weapon, head, chest, arms, waist, and legs.

3) You can equip items, and jewels here. It is essential to making your characters more powerful.

4) Increase relationships with current party members. Relationship levels can be upgraded to level five. (Max) The current relationship level with any given character; appears in the form of golden stars. You can also select two party members to spar with each other.

5) System: You can alter various game settings here.

6) Save your current game data. This is always important, and don't forget to do so before turning off your PSP.

Interesting in purchasing this as an import?

No Monster Hunter for PS Vita = Lagging sales in Japan

That's not to say that this may change.

For the time being; it is my opinion that the PS Vita sales in Japan have reflected Capcom's choice of not releasing any Monster Hunter related game for Sony's new handheld.

The handheld did have an optimal first week at launch, but the sales numbers quickly diminished in the following.

Undoubtedly, Sony is holding conversations with Capcom, but it is seems highly unlikely that the PS Vita will receive any sort of MH game for quite some time. For now, and possibly some time; Nintendo's 3DS will hold priority.

Sony should consider developing their own answer to Monster Hunter.

Playstation Vita-memory card confusion

I've received messages in regards with the PS Vita, and it's memory cards.

Let's get a few things straight:

1) The memory card that PS Vita uses is NOT an SD, or pro duo. It is a brand new format that has been developed by Sony.

2) The PS Vita is not compatible with SD, or pro duo cards! I'm making this clear! (Some of you went out and purchased many incompatible cards.)

3) There are four different types of cards as of now. They are 4gb, 8gb, 16gb, and 32gb.

4) Price: 4gb=19.99 8gb=29.99 16gb=29.99 32gb=59.99 (CAD/USD apply)
